COMMUNITY EVENT

In Module 4, we learned all about the different kinds of energy we find here on Earth.

Humans get energy from food, and we use energy to make power to make our things move and go, and to make new things. There is renewable energy, that we can use again and again, and there is nonrenewable that will run out someday.

Module 4: Community Event

Who remembers Field Day? It's time to host a field day where the children can explore their own energy with friends and families.

Set up different stations where children and adults, siblings, families, and friends can play together and challenge themselves. You can set up group game areas for games like: tug-of-war, Red Rover, and tag. You can set up individual stations for: a balance beam, jump rope, push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, long jump, and more. Really want to have some fun? A potato sack race!

Tell everyone to bring something to keep them hydrated. Optional: give out a rainbow of fruits and veggies because everyone will be hungry.
